Welcome to Alloa Academy's Physical Education Department

At Alloa Academy, our Physical Education (PE) Department is committed to delivering a dynamic and inclusive curriculum that supports our school values of Resilience, Ambition, and Respect. Through a broad range of physical activities, we aim to provide pupils with engaging learning experiences that help them grow not only as athletes but as individuals prepared for life, learning, and work.

Our PE curriculum is designed to empower all learners with the knowledge, motivation, and ability to lead healthy, active lifestyles. We believe that physical education is more than just movement, it’s about building character, nurturing confidence, and fostering a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.

  • Resilience is developed as pupils challenge themselves, overcome obstacles, and learn the value of persistence in the face of difficulty.

  • Ambition is encouraged through setting personal goals, striving for improvement, and embracing new opportunities in sport and physical activity.

  • Respect is at the heart of everything we do,promoting teamwork, fair play, and positive relationships within and beyond the classroom.

We are proud to support our young people in becoming confident, capable, and compassionate individuals that are ready to thrive both on and off the field. We deliver this promise alongside our partners.
