What is Physics?
Physics is the branch of science concerned with the study of matter, energy, and their interactions, along with the fundamental forces of nature. It seeks to understand how the universe behaves and why. The study of physics encompasses everything from the smallest subatomic particles to the largest structures in space. Physics uses mathematical models and experiments to describe and predict physical phenomena, and its principles form the basis for many modern technologies.
Why study Physics?
Have you ever driven a car? Watched a show on a flatscreen TV? Called your best friend on your mobile phone? Without physics, you wouldn’t have been able to do any of these things! Even non-technical objects have been indirectly supported by physics. For example, the mass production of clothes would be impossible without physics.
Physics helps us understand the natural world by explaining how things work, from the smallest particles to the largest galaxies, and it lays the foundation for many other sciences and technologies. It also fosters valuable skills like problem-solving and critical thinking. There are diverse opportunities for future careers if you take physics. Have you ever thought of being an electrician or plumber than a physics qualification will help. Physics is a key subject if you want to be an engineer or in the IT industry.
