Vision
During their time in Social Subjects and RMPS, pupils will develop an understanding of the world around them and their role within it. They will be provided with opportunities to develop the skills and capacities which will allow them to contribute confidently and positively to their local community and to wider society.
Within Social Subjects and RMPS pupils engage in activities which will support their learning in school and in the future. Literacy is promoted through participation in class discussions, research tasks, extended writing and analysing source information. Pupils are also supported to develop transferable skills such as communication through group work and the delivery of presentations.
Our values are underpinned by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. We create an environment where pupils are treated, and treat others, with respect; where pupil voice is valued; and where their successes and achievements are celebrated.
