Pupil Leadership

In Alloa Academy we have many opportunities for pupils to lead. Some of these may be informal such as leading tasks, projects and lessons within curriculum areas and others may be more formal leadership opportunities:

Junior Leadership Team

Our Junior Leadership Team (S1-S4) oversee the pupil council and assist with many projects within the school. They are involved in the selection process of the Captaincy roles, support the senior leaders with their projects and weekly duties. In addition they lead many transition activities.

Senior Leadership Team

In Alloa Academy we have a strong S5/6 Senior Leadership Team. The team comprises a School Captain, Vice Captains and House Captains alongside Senior Leaders. The team is split into smaller teams led by one of the Captains who oversee areas in the school such as: Charity/Fundraising, Events and Interhouse, Positive Discipline and Merit System. There are other areas which are chosen by our captains and led by them such as recycling, tannoy announcements, and buddying. Many seniors achieve an SQA Level 6 Leadership Qualification alongside a Saltire Award.
